Classically
trained on the piano with an aptitude for woodwind and brass instruments,
Mario could not ignore the call to write and perform music. Being fond
of low frequencies, he gravitated to the electric bass, playing rock
'n' roll in various bands. When these bands began writing original material,
he found himself in studio sessions learning the process of recording.
Two of the engineers he worked with founded Indie Music Productions,
where Mario wrote music, performed as a studio musician, served as assistant
engineer and participated in pre-production and production, eventually
becoming a partner. When Mark Durstewitz, an old college friend, contacted
him to record bass for a rock opera called *The Children of Children*,
Mario became the bass player for Madmen and Dreamers. He also co-produced
the *The Children of Children* concept album and became part owner and
Secretary of MadElf Productions, Inc., the independent label.
Mario's Rock Theatre responsibilities include record keeping, publishing, writing, producing, recording and performing.
